The Bishop Verot Boys Baseball team beats the Bonita Springs Bull Sharks this Monday
with a score of 7-0. Aidan Knaak performed well, not allowing a single run all night.
However, pitching wasn’t the only positive during this game. The offensive side proved
their dominance with 8 hits against the Bull Sharks. Trevor Welch was able to start the
team off strong, scoring one point during the second inning with his single. Grayson
Carpenter then continued to hit a single, allowing for two more runners to come home
during that inning. Matthew Turned and Trevor Welch continued the hitting streak and
were able to bring in three more runs, giving the Vikings a 6-0 lead over the Bull Sharks
by the bottom of the third. In the bottom of the fourth, Fidel Alviar hit a sacrifice fly to
bring Owen Rardin in for the final run of the night. Aiden Knnak finished the game with
zero runs on three hits, striking out 16 batters and walking zero, overall bringing the
Vikings to victory. In addition, Trevor Welch had an impressive game, giving the Vikings
three hits to beat the Bonita Springs Bull Sharks.
