Last Friday the Bishop Verot Vikings played First Baptist academy.

Verot was looking to snap FBA’s winning as they have not lost a game. Verot however, had come off a tough loss to Trinity Catholic. Verot came out strong forcing a three and out to start the game. However the offense was not there in the first half.

FBA had close to 200 yards of offense in the first half compared to Verot’s 167 yards. But what changed the momentum was Austin Redd's 95 yard pick six which brought the crowd back into the game. Going into half time Verot had some key momentum Verot then went to have 350 yards of offense the next half.

Freshman quarterback Carter Smith also had a good game over 300 passing yards and 50 yards rushing. He also had a key pass to Chris Garves that iced the game for Verot. The final score was 31-19, later this week Verot takes on Cardinal Mooney at home for our home coming.

Verot looks to come out with a win and become 5-3.
