This past Friday Bishop Verot took on Cardinal Mooney for there homecoming game. Verot started off slow allowing a 27 yard touchdown pass. It took Verot awhile to find the rythem they needed to get back in the game. Carter Smith wasn’t taking what Mooney gave him and cost him in the first half with only 47 passing yards and two three and outs. However, again came Verot’s defense to get back the momentum with a big third down stop which gave Verot’s offense great field position. Verot then drove down the field and came away with a touchdown. In the next half it was all Verot only allowing 167 yards in the second half and getting one interception. Verot’s kicker Deaglan Cameron had another great game. He had two good field goals and a great onside kick. On th ego ahead touchdown to ice the game Carter Smith got it to d-1 commit Chris Graves on a fade route to the corner of the end zone. This made the game out of reach and gave Verot there 5th win of the season.
